Museo TessitoriA room devoted to the illustrious Friulian indologist Luigi Pio Tessitori was inaugurated on 1 March 2013 in the Civic Museums of the Castle in Udine. The artifacts housed in the rooms of the Archaeological section are largely the results of the collecting that characterized the research in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century in Friuli. The first rooms are dedicate to the nobles and religious scholars who played a decisive role in the formation of the City Museums in 1866, the last room is dedicated to Luigi Pio Tessitori and the archaeological research abroad. The Museo Tessitori can be visited from 10.30 to 17.00 in winter time, up to 19.00 in summer time. |
